Goodreads asked Thomasin Heyworth:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Thomasin Heyworth I think what I like best is the autonomy of writing. You get to go off into a different world in which you can make anything happen. You may not have complete control (because you never know when a new idea, character or story line might pop up) but how you handle it is all yours. It's like any creative endeavor; drawing, painting, building, music, or whatever you're into, that you can get lost in for a while. It's very freeing and it it's nice, when real life gets stressful, to think that it's waiting for you whenever you can get back to it.
