(view spoiler)[So G. Duncan wants to time-travel to kill B.R.. Why? The Brahan Seer wrote that an heir to the throne of Scotland will spring from the line of Lovat after the eclipse of the Stuart line. But she wants an independent Scotland with its own ruler. Killing B.R. would extinguish the last hope for a Scottish ruler. What was she intending to achieve with the plan to go forward in time and kill B.R.? What am I missing? (hide spoiler)]
Maggie Handest I read this part that she was going to find Bree and bring her back to be the next in line for the Scottish throne - not kill her. I was confused because if she wanted the last heir of Lovat could that not be Young Ian? His mother is Lord Lovat's granddaughter. I felt like I was missing something too.
Anna I would also like the answer to this question! I finished reading that part and I was completely confused. If Gellis wanted an independent Scotland wouldn't she want to help Brianna instead of killing her?
