Lila Wayne well, honestly the movie is not so great - or at least it wasnt to me. they totally messed up casting the characters. so, preferably you should try reading the book instead of sticking to the movie
Leonardo Capuano Do you mean the similarity between both? If so, there is a lot of things both share.
The main story is the same. Girl vampire protected by her Dhampyr friend from a mysterious danger. The characters are also pretty much the same.
The only difference i got was the entire "Kirova being a b**tch" thing do not exist. She is not really importante in the first book.
In a few words, VA book is just more detailed and the doubts are answered in a better and more explained than in the movies.
But dont get mistaken, although the movie sucked, the book is really good and it is worth reading.
Laurie –Read Between The Skylines– The movie is an almost exact retelling of the book. The same things happen but I think that the movie doesn't quite catch the atmosphere that was a great in the book.
