Anyone feel the houses (Raymond's and the Norton's) were almost characters in their own right in the first half?

Julie Round Especially Raymond's. I couldn't visualise the Norton's but I felt Raymond became the most important character eventually, with Keith, of course. The family never really rang quite true.
Christi Poulsom Interesting, hadn't thought of it like that, but I agree, and not just in the first half. I certainly got fond of the Norton's, and Raymond's house certainly developed and became loved
