I am not really sure where to put this question so i will just put it on this page because it is about all the books. so if Rick is still making the types of series when he retires do you think someone will take over for him?

Serena Rick is only 50, most writers don't retire. Gene Wolfe for instance is 83 and last published a work in 2015 of this year, Ursula K. Le Guin is 85 and published last in 2012. The really good author's rarely retire, but it's likely if Rick passes before getting to his 80s his sons will continue the series, as Anne McCaffrey (who passed in 2011 at 85) had entrusted her son Todd (59) to write more Pern.
