Nope. The book is not depressing. You're depressing for asking such a silly question instead of just picking it up and reading it. it's DICKENS - that means the story will go to some very dark places, and that it will all end up okay in the end. It also means that it contains some of the finest and most rewarding writing ever.

I agree with Steven and Ferdous. There are scenes some might call depressing, or down. But those are necessary to appreciate the beauties and positive scenes. Story without conflict would be boring. That would be depressing stories.
