Brad asked:

I wonder how this compares to "The Oath" by Frank Peretti, loved that book?

Warren Stevens I loved The Oath, it was amazing. I also loved several of Ted Dekker's books. However, I was very disappointed by House. It's hard to put my finger on why. I think it's that in Peretti and Dekker's solo work, the explanations and conclusions make sense internally to the story whether or not they're spiritual or fantastic. I felt that in House, the explanations didn't make sense and it felt like they just didn't know how to end it. But I'm not a big fan of horror (I like lots of thrillers and sci-fi that border on horror, but not much pure horror), so maybe it's just not to my taste.
Lisa Russell-Thompson Agreed this book was bad!!
