Jodie (JT) asked:

I was wondering if the books follow on or can I say start at book seven? As I get most of my books from the Library I cant get them in order.

Ekaterina I think you should look up recommended order to read the books, to know approximately where you are standing. (like this one: http://www.lspace.org/books/reading-o...)
And basically, you can read them in any order, as the author keeps reminding you of important, and not so important, details, and as the books are just brilliant enough by themselves.
Of course, it would be a bit harder to keep up with the timeline, and you won't be very surprised with the ending if you have already read the next book, but it won't ruin the impression or fun.
GG Many of the books are stand alones, but some, like Moist von Lipwig's journey (Going Postal, Making Money, Raising Steam) is better read in an arc.

Thomas Bliss There are several ways of grouping the books there are themes like "the City Watch" and the character "Death" etc. you can find them here

Angela GreenKiwi I'd recommend reading the first four of the disc world books in order. After that, you'll have your bearings. I hope you love them as much as I have. ☺
Kelly Jones I am currently reading "A Slip of the Keyboard" A collection of non-fiction by Terry Pratchett. QUOTE page 63 "This is the author saying this, folks. Do not start at the beginning with Discworld" although he does not say which one to start with. Ive read a few but did not start at the beginning n reading Terry Pratchett saying don't start at the beginning I'm glad I never.
