asked:
Pullman says on his author page about The Book of Dust: 'What can I tell you about it? Nothing, except that it’s by far the most important thing I’m doing, and I intend to do it as well as I possibly can. When it’s finished, you’ll hear about it, I guarantee.' Anyone else get the feeling that he's about to tear into the Church really hard? Or am I reading too much into this?

As someone who has started reading a The Book of Dust already, that seems exactly like what he is doing. Remember Umbridge’s Inquisitorial Squad in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix? Similar to that, but on a religious level (sorry, trying not to spoil anything!)
