Goodreads asked Terri Hale:

How do you get inspired to write?

Terri Hale I'm a very visual person. A certain landscape, or building might inspire me. Also, overhearing conversations (unintentionally, of course). I read constantly. I love history and folklore. This also sparks ideas and inspires me. I'm constantly composing stories in my head. The ones that persist end up written down and filed away for the future. When I'm working on a specific project I surround myself with visual cues and "treasures." I love quirky little artifacts, photographs, maps, anything that might have something to do with the story I'm writing. I also love to use music while I write. I have a folder titled The Stone Manor filled with Celtic and classical music. I would listen to it as I worked on the novel. Not always, but often.
