There are four. Afraid, Trapped, Endurance, Haunted House. But the first three don't really have any connection (except in the second book there is a character who is briefly mentioned in the first). The fourth book contains characters from all three of the previous books. So if you want the full backstory, I suggest reading all three (any order) before the fourth.
