Alana The book started slow, but then it became very fast. It would slow and then speed up. The story would pulse, almost. It would be slow, then fast, then slow, then fast. Etc.
Briar Rose I would say the pacing is more on the side of slow-but-steady than quick. Ultimately, though, I liked it--thought it added to the very rich worldbuilding and characterization.
