Les Well, I liked it a lot. I think that in order to enjoy it you have to: be prepared to enjoy a book with unreliable narration (the main narrator is a drunk prone blackouts); accept that you will not actually *like* any of the characters (some are worse than others); ready to deal with a split time line - one narration sequence happens a few months before the other in roughly alternating chapters. Worked for me, worked for a friend who read it. I hope it works for you, but I think I have listed the main hurdles.
