Hazel I put in a request at our public library. They ordered it for their collection, held it in reserve for me, and notified me when it came in. Most public libraries will do this for patrons. It's never guaranteed that the library will be willing or able to purchase a particular request, but for those of us with limited budgets it's always worth asking.
