Goodreads asked N.P. Griffiths:

How do you get inspired to write?

N.P. Griffiths It's difficult to say what was the original inspiration to start writing. I did a lot of it when I was at school but this stopped when I left. I read a lot and over time I think this evolved in to an urge to try my hand as a writer. I do remember walking around Canary Wharf in late 2005, a financial district in east London, when I made the decision to give it a go. What followed was a couple of years of writing courses and several years in front of my PC.

It's been an experience with a few peaks and troughs along the way but it has ultimately been deeply rewarding.
