I love Hunger Games but I don't like this book. You can read it, though. :) but don't get your hopes up. It's not a Hunger Games kind of calibre. :)

I am OBSESSED with the Hunger Games and in my opinion Maze Runner is perfect for people who love any dystopian novels! Would definitely recommend!

It really depens on the person. I read both and I loved both.
The Maze Runner is also dystopian and political and stuff, but there's less of a love story in it even if it might look like that in the first book.
In my opinion The Maze Runner is better than the Hunger Games but it's also possible that you hate it.
