Love the Psmith books! Just wondering...when you read them do you call him "Smith" or "P-Smith" in your head? I have given up trying to think of him as Smith and am resigned to accepting that he will forever be Psmith to me!

Jason The P is silent, but Psmith can tell when you aren't saying it correctly.
Casey Psmith himself says that while his name begins with the P it is silent and pronounces Smith. At first it drove me a bit crazy that Wodehouse even acknowledges this when the 3rd person narrator refers to Psmith it is with the P, but when used in dialogue tis without. So while he is a Psmith, I just pronounce it Smith in my head.
Richa I can so relate to you there!
