asked:
Can anyone tell me about what will happen in the book? Who the characters really represent? I've read to the part where Scott calls Rachel (for the first time), but nothing really happened yet, and I'm considering about stopping. Or should I keep reading, because I'm almost about get to the exciting parts?

Vile, terrible things have been done by very flawed people. The book is a slow revaluation of what those things are leading to a well timed climax. Worked for me, tastes vary of course.
