Why did Percy and Annabeth not have a huge focus relayed on them? They are what started the war with Gea and they cause her to awaken. They are not being focus on enough. And why does something major happen and Percy or Jason get their butts kicked bad?

Thalia Lin it is because after tartarus, percy became very unstable and used jokes mainly to hid how broken he had become. So mainly Percy and Annabeth became to mentally scarred to actually be able to focus on them much. Also, Rick said he did not want it to be all Percy Jackson, there was already a story for that. It was going to focus more on the rest of the group so they all are equally important.
