there was no one else in the school who knew parsel tongue other than harry
and beside that there was no use telling to teachers about the basilisk.....because they wud rather prefer the students safety the a single student's life.

Because, at least in the book. The teachers already knew. That's why they sent Gildhory Lockhart to "save" Ginny. But of course, since he is a fraud Harry, Ron, and Hermione had to do everything.

Oh, they were talking about it in the book. The teachers knew about it already. They just sent Lockhart to save Ginny. But since Lockhart was a complete joke, the Golden Trio had to come in.
(He needed them anyway, only Harry or Ron could open the Chamber.)

@Rebecca Weston's correct.

They would have thought Ginny was dead. And no one but Harry can open the Chamber because he is the only parsel tongue.

There was no way the teachers would have let Harry and Ron go into the Chamber and they probably believed Ginny was already dead. Besides, the teachers may not even have believed them, as they were obviously upset about Ginny and their ideas about the Chamber were based on a lot of rule breaking, legends and unconfirmed theories.
