Buongiorno Frances, I loved your books and thank you for them. My question is about food. What dish would you recommend ordering when traveling to Venice and Cortona?

For my best advice about Tuscan food, check my The Tuscan Sun Cookbook, where I gathered all my best recipes, such at Tuscan Ribs, Baked Pasta with Four Cheeses, and lots of others. In Venice--black risotto, and whatever fish looks the boldest and freshest. I love the little lobsters.

One thing I love in your books is how you meld all your experiences together without always following a specific "a year in…" or rigid storyline many memoirs follow. I have been trying to craft a memoir about my life here in Nepal, where I've lived for years. But while I've written thoughts, experiences and observations, it lacks any cohesion. How do you manage to pull all the strands of memoir together like you do?

You have probably answered this before... but how did you feel about the final cut of the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun"? Was it an accurate reflection of you and your book? I saw the movie first, then read the book. I went on to read "The Discovery of Poetry" and made a study of it. Truly enjoy your work!
