It is apolitical novel with leftist outlook by Chattopadhyay whether being influenced by 1917 revolution otherwise this philosopher was a pioneer of bringing communist ideas in India.The philosopher puts faith on single man being able to reform the society.He relies on a man but he needs socialistic idea of looking at the common man imparted to him by his political guru ,his aunt .
