Goodreads asked Tessa Radley:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Tessa Radley 1. WRITE - To set a goal to write EVERY day (even if it's only 100 words)
* Make time in your schedule so that it happens.
*Make a space where it happens (your office desk during your lunch break, in your seat on your commute, at the dining table after dinner, in a cubbyhole you manage to carve out).
2. READ - as much as you possibly can (you'll need to carve out time for that too!).
3. CONNECT - with other writers. Join a writer's group. If you can't find a local group, find one online.
4. LOVE what you do--write what you want to write. Don't be tempted to write to trends, unless that's what YOU want to write.
5. BELIEVE in yourself! This can sometimes be the toughest part of a writer's journey...
