Goodreads asked Peter Lundell:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Peter Lundell I won't idealize it; sometimes I wish I weren't a writer--go out and get a well-paying job! But writing is what I'm created to do. As with most writers, it's hard-wired in me. The same kind of hard-wiring can be said of many professions and callings. Thus I might best say that the best thing is fulfilling what I'm created to do on this earth. I find tremendous satisfaction in that, just as another person finds satisfaction in fulfilling what he or she is created to do.
