I believe people need to always ready themselves for the potential tests that lie ahead. As it relates to art, this is criticism. To me, the only failure is not staying true to what you set out to do (especially allowing yourself to be sidetracked by those that have no investment in you or your work). Why take a test without any conceptual knowledge? If the test presents itself there had to have been some sort of preparation. After all tests are only for assessing growth. How far have you come in such and such amount of time.
