How do you get inspired to write?

J.M. Goldie Ideas literally just pop into my head. However, when I trace back my thoughts I can see that I'm being influenced by what I'm reading, movies I've watched, newspaper articles and my own life. I often start with just a name or two and work from there. Sometimes I force myself to be inspired to write, because if you just sit around waiting to be inspired nothing gets done!
