Nancy asked:

If Dumbledore meant to safegaurd and hide the sorcerer's stone, why did he build challenges to reach it?? It seemed like he wanted it found by someone who can get past those challenges.... why give hints and hide keys with wings if you dont want it found???

Jo He built challenges so he could hide it. Firstly, you would have to know it was there, then you would have to defeat the challenges. That way no one could get it, like Voldemort or Quirrel (although he did). If there were no challenges Voldemort would have risen sooner. And if he needed to get the stone out the teachers would get rid of whatever protection was in place, or he could just get it himself. He is Dumbledore, after all.
