Write write write and write some more. Write all sorts, even nonsense. I find myself writing dialogue or a scene on a post-it note, because it's in my head and needs to come out. It helps you practice, learn from mistakes and experience writing different scenes, expressions, descriptions etc... without having to think of 'the story arc' or deadline or consistency of your story.

I just started reading today, and peeked a bit at other reviews. I see that it's often mentioned that the beginning is a bit slow - I didn't feel that at all - so my question: How different is your updated/edited version to the old one? Has the professional editing been a great help for you?
