Goodreads asked Bruce Henderson:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Bruce Henderson By doing something other than sitting in front of a blank monitor. Get up, move around, take a walk, empty the garbage for the third time that day. Then, when you are ready, go back to thinking about the story you want to tell. That usually puts me in a hurry to get back to writing. The best way to start or restart? "Write the truest sentence that you know." (Thank you Ernest Hemingway.)
