Jeff Everett This is way after the fact, but regarding the part of your question about why he would risk it, I think you get a sense that he thinks he has control over her, and that if he continues to keep her trust he will get an opportunity to kill her before she could use her power. He also senses that she at times is weary of having to deal with her powers, and may in fact even embrace death as an escape.
Olga Dorokhina He wants to see the light in her eyes as she dies. He wants to do that to Charlie because John thinks that it will be different on a child. Remember he killed Wanless.
