Sean Watson The answer to both questions is 'no.'
Eva I enjoyed it quite a bit, although it isn't your cheesy, campy "expected" zombie book. There was a good deal of action in it, the protagonist is likable, and the villain a bit predictable. If you like a good medical/military/action thriller, you might enjoy this book. Not at all what I was expecting -- it was far better!
Alexander If you are looking for a good zombie book look elsewhere; this has little zombie action. While the villain is interesting and you'd want to read more about that side you may often find yourself checking out during frequent descriptions of Joe wrasslin' his foes. Warning: repetitive descriptions abound.
