There are many good things about being a writer. Millions of dollars in royalties, palatial homes, luxury yachts and fans all over the world.
Okay well, those things only go to the bestselling writers. But there are more things good about being a writer other than those. Things which matter more (I like to think so!).
But even if you are not bestselling authors, even if you are not published there are a few things look forward to:
(1) You can make up your own worlds, your own characters and your own rules. Its like a license to play make-believe after you grow up.
(2) You can right the wrongs - yes, or write them out. Didn't like something that happened in reality? Swap it for fiction. In the world you invented only bad things never happened. If you can't rewrite the history then write your own.
(3) You get to live out your wildest dreams through your writing. Anything is possible.
But the best thing about writing is the satisfaction you get when you finish writing something and see what you have created. Its like giving birth, almost.
