Goodreads asked Andrea Renee Cox:

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Andrea Renee Cox My life really isn't all that mysterious. But I do pull quirks and events and such from my life and add them to my books' plots sometimes.

For example, in my Springtime in Surrey story, "The Cottage on the Hill," I gave Adrian my love for vintage artists like Fred Astaire and Charlie Chaplin in his quest to figure out how to cheer up former ballerina Moira. You can see how it played out in the umbrella scene in that story. It was fun having Adrian perform with props like Mr. Astaire and entertain silently like Mr. Chaplin. I hope that scene makes you smile.
