How did you know that you wanted to be a writer/author?

Amanda Marquardt When I was young, I spent equal parts reading and writing. I specifically remember some of my first stories being paranormal vampire romance, MCs unknowingly in competitions for love, and chance encounters. I just knew I wanted to be an author. The only reason it took so long was because I let society tell me it wouldn't make me any money, and convince me that was the only way to be successful.
