Goodreads asked Terry Woods:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Terry Woods work on plot. If i'm not dying to write/create a scene, a moment of dialogue, or describe something, why not? If I don't care enough to get busy on putting it on paper, it will never be interesting to anyone else. So I must not be telling the right story, or telling it in the right way. Back to plot. Conversely, try writing the scenes that are in your mind that are driving you tell the entire story. Get enough of those and you can start filling in the connective pieces or (re: plot) figure out another way to stitch it together if your original idea(s) are uninspiring.
