I have a teacher asking about the reading levels on this book. Do you feel this book could be used as a book study for students studying Texas History 7th grade -(upper level group)? I am wondering about appropriateness.

Alex It's extremely long, but more importantly there are a few scenes of extreme, disturbing, graphic violence - including sexual violence - that I found very difficult as an adult. No, I can't say I think it would be appropriate for seventh graders.

Too bad, as it's also terrific.
