Why did the producers of bonanza, not use these stories about the Cartwright family members when the producers were making the film? It seems to me that these stories would have fit into the film and would have made it more interesting right?

The producers did not use these stories because this book is a collection of FanFiction written after the year 2000, to exhibit how popular and loved the show still is :)
