How much of a romance is it? I love the Kate Daniels by Ilona Andrews and goodreads suggested Dragon Bound as a result...I love Vampire Academy and the alchemist books I like a bit of romance in my books but I also like a good urban fantasy story as well. Is Dragon Bound likely to be my cup of tea? I ask because it is so highly rated and there are 7 books in the series and also like a good solid read.

I didn't feel much romance. It was based upon lust.

It is very much a romance. The whole book revolves around the two main characters meeting and falling head over heels..or should I say tail. I have read ALL of the elder races books and they are excellent. Romance with shifters and paranormal characters. I loved all of it.
Cheap and Lazy
I would say this one's solidly in the paranormal romance category (rather than urban fantasy).

I just abandoned it part way through because it is more erotic/lust driven than romance, at least to me
