Faith
Faith asked:

Why is it called the order of the phoenix?

Sydney Hughes Did you read the book? If you did, you'd know the answer pretty easily.
Ye boi RYan LEE says clearly in the book
Courtney The Order of the Phoenix is the group that was reformed when Voldemort returned. Since the book heavily revolves around this group and Harry's relationship to the members, it makes sense to name the book after it.
Alishba Fatima i think alaster, tonks etc are the qrder of the phoenix
Watbut The order is fighting against voldemort.
Harry said he wants to join the order.
Ministry is against the order, and against Harry.
The order was something new in the story, as was the goblet of fire in the previous book, or the chamber in the second book.
As the books mostly about voldemorts return and the members trying to prove it to the ministry, so it should be named that.
