Stephanie It's about cause and effect & thinking about how your actions can affect others. You might feel like what you've done is a really small thing, but you don't know how others can take it. If they are already really depressed and suicidal, you saying one mean thing could push them other the edge.
Emma Mikkelson The point of the book was to show how a simple act could change a life. You may not realize how much something hurts someone, or the impact a simple hello makes on a person. It also shows that even when you think no one would care if you disappeared there is always someone who cares. Someone who will mis you no matter what.
