Annie Belyak In reality, why doesn't a wife beaten by her husband run away? Why doesn't a girl arranged to marry an old dude run away? Why didn't slaves run away? Dang it, some people have a perfectly real opportunity to change the job they hate and they don't do it either. Many people just live through the horror of their lives without thinking of running away because they're convinced that they can't or they shouldn't.
