There is a big character development. To be honest, in the beginning she really irritates you - but that's the point, but the more you get into the story, the more she grows on you. Yes, it's totally worth it.

I didn't get through the whole book... honestly I found her character to get increasingly annoying and the insta-love definitely didn't help my opinion.
