Goodreads asked Eric Colbourne:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Eric Colbourne My new book, Dancing on Air, (soon to be released) was inspired by a visit to Reading Gaol in Reading, UK. This is where Oscar Wilde was imprisoned in 1897 and where he wrote "The Ballad of Reading Gaol". The ballad tells the story of Trooper Woolridge who was hanged at the gaol at the time that Wilde was serving his three year sentence for homosexuality.
