I didn't read @UMPiCK comment, but it also remind me about Catcher in the Rye :) I haven't read Trainspotting (seen the movie long time ago), but from what I remember Trainspotting was much darker. God Hates Us All, all the sex and drugs scenes are very "lightweight" as if they're the most completely natural thing to happen. I haven't read Bukowski yet.
