yes he did cover up I do not know why except he was not a good man as many of his bios tell. He probably also was anti Semitic and was not moved by what happened to the Jews.
i hated this book for all the stuidity in it on our part but could not put it down as i wanted to know what happened to some of the main characters like the Nostril.
