im thinking of reading it, how is the series? (want well informed answers)

This answer contains spoilers… (view spoiler)[the series is conceived from fifty shades as a base premise and is almost same in skeletal settings(rich, young man with a history of damage falls for a devoted women.men find the said women irresistible.has a more promiscuous best friend than the heroine who basically is there to encourage her every decision et al) .both the characters have a past of abuse so both characters are emotionally damaged here.the heroine is confident in her looks but not in her emotional ability to judge romantic prospect(with solid history to back it)the story was first drafted as a trilogy but it later expanded to a quintet .which in my opinion just thins the already thin plot.the points in favor of the series is that it is written well and the meat of the story-that is sex as communication-is titillating.writer goes on to provide rich description of the glamorous setting of new york and sounds and smell.you feel better situated in the story.good for those who love drama and emotions flying off the pages.bad points are that sylvia just keeps cropping new mysterious plot points now and then which considering 5 books are already released and half of them is still not solved is a serious flaw in writing.you will be too annoyed or will not care.character sketch is so basic as described by sylvia that as she goes on to add depth she looses it .makes gideon and eva and cary and eva's mom and so on do things that seems contradictory, annoying, disgusting and abusive sometimes.her text does not work well enough to cover these flaws.the research as you will expect from my description is shoddy and incorrect in terms of counselor-patient interaction, standard medical help required after a period of time, attitude towards sex and relationship is not healthy most of the time and hence, more inconsistent therapy flaws in the text are pointed out.so all in all so read it if you want to enjoy the steamy quotient of the series but please refrain from learning or judging much about this genre from reading it in-depth.good luck. Gréta K The series is very intense and still ongoing. So far I've read the first 4 books, and it hasn't let me down - most series get repetitive and utterly boring after the first book. Lots of sexual tension, all-male testosterone-filled hero, gorgeous blonde heroin. Compelling story. If you're into romance with sizzling sex, this is the book for you.

Mybookscafe The series is very good. I wasn't sure if I would like this book but my coworker suggested it to me. I was hook after the first chapter, the author provides enough detail to each person that draws you in.
