Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

H.L. Wegley The plot for my most recent story came from news articles I collected over the past 2 or 3 years. But, for those taking this approach, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. First, you can't rely only on mainstream news networks. You'll get their spin but not the real story. You've got to dig deeper. Find sources you trust to tell you the truth. Second, current events are usually dated. When their significance runs out, so does the interest in your story. So, either publish fast or choose a story problem that possesses some inherent longevity.
