Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Jen Estes I'm a vivid dreamer and have been since I was a kid. My mom had one of those thick dream dictionaries and I used to love analyzing the meanings of all of my dreams. (Actually, I still do with an app on my phone!) One day I thought, what if the meanings weren't so metaphorical? And what would that mean for someone who only has nightmares?
