I did a couple of things to get over my writer's block: 1. Took a break from writing without any pressure of committing to a timeline. This helped me unwind and allowed me to bounce back faster to writing my book again. 2. I made an outline of my story, beginning to end, on a piece of paper and pasted it on a wall. While not writing, I just walked by and looked at the contents. It helped to train my mind to think more about what next for my story. 3. I committed myself to another equally demanding activity so that I could switch to that work while not writing. While my job kept me busy, I also took to e-learning. This trained my mind to always be active, which helps a lot with thinking.
