Carol
The hardest thing wasn't the writing of the book. As I mentioned, the idea for the book had been fermenting inside my mind for a lifetime. I have always been conscious of my extreme good fortune for being born into a interesting time and into an interesting if fragmented family. The memories flowed into the story. The hardest thing has been marketing the book. Salesmanship has never been one of my strengths (see my chapter about my abortive attempt to sell Cloverine salve!). I have been interviewed by our local newspaper (http://www.gladstonedispatch.com/comm...) and have performed book readings at several local service clubs, book clubs, and retirement communities. The feedback from these has been gratifying and word of mouth has bolstered sales. I would welcome suggestions from the Goodreads community.
